On a bright, sunny morning, a Division of over 50 OPs took to the parade ground to salute the Head, Thomas Garnier. in celebration of his 19 years at the helm of the College.
The morning began with a short practice led by OP Chairman, Phillip Plato and the College Staff Instructor, Paul Radford. It seems that the art of marching, once mastered, is never forgotten and it was only a matter of minutes before the OPs moved off in good order to form up at the far end of the parade ground and await inspection. The Head and OP Rory Copinger-Symes (1979 - 1983) who was Guest of Honor, then began their inspectiion of the College Divisions. The OP Division was given close inspection by the Headmaster which they passed wtth flying colours. With the inspection over the moment had arrived for the OPs to show their skills. Despite the passage of time the standard of marching was extremely impressive and earned the OPs a round of congratulatory applause from the crowd.
An enormous thank you goes to OP Mike Matthews (1975 - 1980) for all his fantastic photographs, a selection of these can be found below.
