More than 150 members of the Pangbournian Community gathered at the annual drinks reception during Henley Royal Regatta, celebrating the lifelong friendships and shared passion for rowing that continue to connect Old Pangbournians across the generations.

From octogenarians to last year's leavers, the event brought together alumni spanning decades, offering the opportunity to reconnect, reminisce and strengthen the bonds forged during their time at Pangbourne College. The gathering served as a reminder that becoming part of the Pangbournian Community is a lifelong connection.

Among the highlights of the day were two special crew reunions. Members of the 1986 Henley Royal Regatta crew returned to mark 40 years since their memorable campaign, while the 2014 crew also reunited, sharing stories and reflecting on their time rowing together at Pangbourne. Watching former teammates reconnect was a fitting celebration of the enduring friendships built through the sport.

The event also showcased the College's proud rowing heritage by bringing together Captains of Boats from different eras. The Captains of Boats from 2024 and 2025 were introduced to the Captain of Boats from 1962, creating a memorable moment that highlighted the traditions and values that continue to unite generations of Pangbournians.

Throughout the day, the OP Yacht Club boat trips once again proved a popular feature, giving guests exceptional views of the racing while providing another opportunity to catch up with fellow alumni on the river.
