The OP Society Celebration Weekend

Calling all OP's - join us for a very special Event!
OP's on Parade
OP's on Parade

All Old Pangbournians and their partners are warmly invited to join us for The OP Society Celebration Weekend on Saturday 20th April & Sunday 21st April 2024

We will be celebrating the Centenary of the first OP Reunion held in 1924 as well as paying tribute to Thomas Garnier’s tenure as Head of Pangbourne College.  On Saturday evening we'll be holding the Old Pangbournian Society Dinner in Drake Hall and we'd love to see as many OP's as possible attending, whether your time at Pangbourne was only yesterday or just seems like it, we can promise you good food, good company and the chance to catch up with people you may not have seen in a while, During the evening we'll also be paying a special tribute to Thomas and Alex Garnier as they begin their final term at the college

The tribute to the Head will continue the next morning when you are invited to take part in a time honoured traditon and join an OP 'Division' which will take to the parade ground to march past in Mr Garnier's honour.  For those who might feel that their marching abilities may be a little rusty you are more than welcome to join us in the chapel or watch the parade from the sidelines.

Also during the weekend we'll be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of some of the Colleges most ambitious theatre and film productions especially curated by John Flint (Honorary OP & Former Head of Drama).  More details of this aspect of the weekend will follow shortly but with a number of productions in the process of being digitised, it'll be a unique opportunity to relive some of the outstanding moments from the College's Drama department.

To register your interest for the weekend please head to OP Society Celebration Weekend where as well as the dinner you will also be able to register for the march past.  Please note this is just a registration of interest, tickets will be available to purchase shortly and details will appear in the OP Newsletter as well as on The Pangbournian Portal and OP social media sites.
