OP Reunions and Events |
In wonderful autumnal conditions on the iconic Old course at Sunningdale Jasper Fulford-Dobson and Will Donaldson competed for the coveted OP Matchplay Quaich and other rewards. Although the quality of the play off the tee was high, both players made a few unexpected short game errors and by the time the halfway hut was reached there was little to separate them.
The refreshments, whatever they contained, seemed to spark Will into a new sphere of sport and he played some stunning golf including a 6 iron 173 yard 2nd shot into the Stroke index 1 hole to 3 feet. Jasper was naturally somewhat shell shocked by these events and succumbed on the 15th green in a most enjoyable and friendly encounter followed by the customary 19th hole formalities.
