Henley Regatta Drinks Reception

On Thursday 29th June the OP Society hosted its annual drinks reception at Henley Regatta.  The weather was kind and it was fantastic to see so many Parvicini blazers and OP Ties on display.  Among those attending were a number of the guests who had joined us the previous evening for The Henley Legends Dinner as well as a number of more recent OP's, all of whom had come along to support the boys quad in their race that afternoon.  As race time approached the marquee became deserted as everyone headed to the river to cheer on the College. Sadly, and despite a spirited perfomance from the  crew, the victory was not ours but this didn't dampen spirits and on Finals day there was the opportunity to cheer on no less than three OP's

Rory Harris (stroke) of Leander Club with his Intermediate Men's Coxless Four won The Prince of Wales Challenge Cup. Cameron Moffatt (cox) of Oxford Brookes University 'A' with his Student Women's Eight won The Island Challenge Cup. Philip Garnier (3) of Thames Rowing Club 'A' with his Club's Men's Four (Coxless) came a close second in The Wyfold Challenge Cup
