Centenary Matchplay Trophy competition (season-long knockout comp open to all).
To find out more and enter please email jasper@Fulford-Dobson.com providing your current handicap, home club (if you have one) and contact phone number. The draw will take place in the third week of March – watch this space!
The OP Centenary Matchplay competition was dreamt up by Robin Knight and Mark Dumas with the aim of connecting OP golfers and having the chance to play different courses in and around the home counties and Oxfordshire.
The competition runs from April through to September.
The format is a singles knock out competition with handicaps taken into consideration. Over the past few years, the competition has run over 3 or 4 rounds so there is a good opportunity to play plenty of courses, if you keep winning.
We were fortunate that Richard Givan was happy to run the competition for the first 10 years and he established a successful format before passing over the administration to Jasper Fulford-Dobson in 2025 .
The Centenary competition is open to all OP’s who have a handicap of 24 or less. Ideally, they are a member of a golf club withing a radius of 70 miles from central London.
