Devitt Legacy Society ‎

YOUR LEGACY. PANGBOURNE'S FUTURE.

Since its foundation, legacies have played - and continue to play - a vital role in Pangbourne College’s story.

THE DEVITT LEGACY SOCIETY

The Devitt Legacy Society is named in honour of Sir Philip Devitt (1876–1947), the fourth son of College founder Sir Thomas Lane Devitt. A key figure in Pangbourne’s early history, Sir Philip played an essential role in establishing and securing the Nautical College Pangbourne.

In 1921, when the College faced financial ruin, Sir Philip invested much of the family’s fortune to save it -  preserving his father’s vision and ensuring the College’s continued growth.

Leaving a legacy to Pangbourne is a powerful way to follow in the footsteps of these founding figures and shape the future for generations of Pangbournians to come.
