Pangbournian Community Advisory Board member Iona Sadler has taken on an exciting new challenge in support of the Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel Trust (FIMCT).

On 30 August 2026, Iona will take on the Bike Cotswold 2026 event, tackling a demanding 55-mile cycle ride to raise funds for the Trust. This personal journey serves as a personal tribute to those who served and sacrificed during the 1982 Falklands War.

Sitting at the heart of Pangbourne College, the Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel stands as a beacon of remembrance, where veterans and families, as well as members of the Community, come together to honour the memory of those who served and particularly those who lost their lives. The Chapel remains a focal point for College life all year-round and each year, the annual Falkland Islands Memorial Service in June provides an inspiring act of unity and reflection. The upcoming 45th Annual Service on 13 June 2027 will continue this tradition, offering prayer, fellowship, and a lunch to commemorate those who served.
