We were delighted to hold our inaugural Pangbournian Community Golf Day on Friday 29 May, kindly hosted by The Springs Golf Club. Blessed with glorious sunshine and ideal playing conditions, the event brought together members of the wider Pangbournian Community for a memorable day of sport, camaraderie and friendly competition.
The day welcomed a fantastic mix of current pupils, parents, staff, Old Pangbournians and governors, reflecting the strong sense of connection that exists across our community. Participants enjoyed breakfast on arrival before heading out onto the course for 18 holes of golf, followed by lunch and the presentation of prizes.
Congratulations go to Tom H (Year 10), who produced an excellent performance to win the individual competition. In the pairs event, Neil Jeffers and David Mullins emerged as worthy winners after a closely contested day. The spot prizes were collected by Rory P, Cam M and David Mullins, whose efforts were also recognised during the prize-giving.
Beyond the competition itself, the day provided a wonderful opportunity for members of the Pangbournian community to reconnect, forge new friendships and enjoy time together in a relaxed and welcoming setting. It was particularly pleasing to see different generations of Pangbournians sharing stories and experiences both on and off the course.
A special thank you goes to Sean Fergusson of Fore Business for his hard work and enthusiasm in organising the event. His efforts were instrumental in making the day such a success.
We are also extremely grateful to The Springs Golf Club for their hospitality and support. Following such a positive first event, we hope this will become a regular fixture in the Pangbournian calendar, bringing our community together for many years to come.
