Over the last eighteen months, the Racial Diversity and Inclusion working party has been meeting and making some significant recommendations about how we can develop a more racially diverse and inclusive community, where everyone shows respect for each one, and all ethnicities flourish.
To help us on this important journey, we have employed the services of an external company called Flair. They will help us track our performance, take meaningful action and benchmark our success in building an anti-racist culture. Flair is working with lots of schools like Pangbourne, as well as bigger institutions like Network Rail and British Red Cross.
Therefore, next week all students and staff will receive an email invite to take part in an anonymous ‘Race In The Classroom’ survey.
The questions will provide an opportunity for students and staff to reflect on their views and experiences related to race while at school. Once collated, the responses will give us a better idea of student and staff experiences and help us to understand in which areas we can improve. Moreover, the findings from this research will also help guide our College Development Plan.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Caroline Bond (caroline.bond@pangbourne.com).
