Mrs Amanda Bowden (CR18-21)
Mrs Bowden joined Pangbourne as Housemistress of Illawarra and from the outset her dedication to the students in her care was obvious, her concern for them arising from her strong Christian faith. She has been a consistent champion of opportunities for girls, organising a number of events, leading a working party, and being instrumental in setting up the Charlotte Drake Society.
As a maths teacher, she has shown dedication and provided many ideas to the department to improve delivery of the subject, and she has been a dedicated Sixth Form tutor. She has also been active as a rowing coach and an officer in the CCF. Mrs Bowden will be taking up a teaching position at Bloxham, where her husband is a housemaster.
