On Sunday 8 June, the Pangbournian Peloton will be riding in honour of Fred Tao, a much-loved former teacher who sadly passed away last year. Fred had a deep passion for rowing, and this year’s ride is themed around that part of his life.
The ride will start at UCL in London (Fred’s university alma mater) at approximately 08:00, then head to Kingston Grammar School Boat Club (Fred’s school as a boy). From there, we’ll cycle to Windsor, likely stopping for coffee and cake at the Cinnamon Café. The route continues on to Dorney Lake and Henley, with obligatory photo stops at both, before finishing at Pangbourne College Boat Club, where a boat will be named in Fred’s honour.
The full distance is 100km, and a support bus (broom wagon) will accompany us. Riders are welcome to join for the entire route or for any section
Email mark.skidmore@pangbourne.com if you'd like to take part.
For those without a Pangbournian Peloton cycling kit, we have a limited stock of jerseys and bib shorts available in select sizes. Please let me know if you're interested.
Best regards,
Mark Skidmore
