OP Yacht Club Dinner 2023

We had a very good turn out for our AGM and dinner held at the Royal Thames Yacht Club on Tuesday 21st March with 34 in total sitting down for dinner. The dinner went very well and gave us a chance to reflect on the coming season in terms of a proposed cruise across the Channel in July and the Arrow Trophy which is scheduled for 7/8 October 2023 with the OPYC running this event. This is a weekend regatta in one design yachts with the participants being former pupils of Independent Schools. Full details can be found on arrowtrophy.org.uk and it is a brilliant weekend and chance to meet other OPs and the many competitors taking part from other schools.

The OPYC really welcomes new members and the annual membership is incredibly good value at  (£25 per annum) and you have the opportunity to form part of the Old Pangbournian crew for the Arrow Trophy and participate in the other OPYC organised racing and cruising events. It is increasingly active and great fun so please contact our membership Secretary, Larry Howard on 07563894787 or lawrence.howard@hotmail.co.uk or Peter Kewish on 07817893438 peter@kewish.co.uk

Our Commodore, Jeremy Owen and his Flag Officers and committee members were delighted that in addition to many OPYC members and their partners we were joined by some guests which included the President of the Old Pangbournian Society, Richard Shuttleworth and his wife, Sheridan together with Lord and Lady Mountevans, former Lord Mayor of London and current Chairman of the Baltic Exchange. Robin Knight also joined us who has contributed so much to the OP Society over many years.
