The OP Society celebrates our Centenary in 2026. Yes, the OP Society was formed 100 years ago in 1926, nine years after Sir Thomas Lane Devitt founded the College with a vision to train boys to become Merchant Navy officers. A lot has changed over the years, but OPs remain proud of their time at the College and the OP Society has a range of events planned during 2026 to celebrate our Centenary. We’d love to see you at whichever or all events that appeal!
