The OP Society celebrates our Centenary in 2026. Yes, the OP Society was formed 100 years ago in 1926, nine years after Sir Thomas Lane Devitt founded the College with a vision to train boys to become Merchant Navy officers. A lot has changed over the years, but OPs remain proud of their time at the College and the OP Society has a range of events planned during 2026 to celebrate our Centenary. We’d love to see you at whichever or all events that appeal!
Old Pangbournian Society Centenary Dinner - Saturday 28 Feb 2026
Join our Guest of Honor, Record-Breaking Ocean Rower, Jess Rowe, and celebrate 100 years of the OP Society.
Our very first celebration dinner took place on Saturday 28 February 1926 and now, a century later, we're bringing the tradition to life once again at the Goring & Streatley Golf club.
Full details and tickets There are 20 places for young OP's (under 25 years old) with a special price of £47.
