James Perry, Paul Tarantino, Tom Copinger-Symes, Charlie Sykes, Tim Simpson and Will Brooks were the select few who were brave enough to step up to represent the OPs. A huge well done for all their efforts, helped by knee braces, caffeine and Nurofen gel.
On the hottest day of the year, in a giant streaming warehouse the team fought bravely and even won some games though sadly not too many sets. It would appear that many of the opposition took the competition very seriously and in preparation had actually played a considerable amount more padel than many of us and consequently we failed to make the play offs. However, next year, as more OPs know about the competition, those who play regularly would really enjoy this event. It was a great venue, a fun catch up, and the game is brilliant to play.
