Guess the year!
Guess the year!

Earlier this week Keith and Eve Townson visited Pangbourne to spend some time looking through the archives and Keith shared memories of his time at the College including a particularly eventful train journey, details of which can be found in his excellent  book, Live till the end of love, but which discrection prevents me from retelling here, suffice to say, fireworks were involved!

Along with his memories, Keith also brought along some team photographs from his time at the Nautical College, and like many photos in the archive one of them has no date on it.  Comparisons were made with the archive collection, some names recalled and dates searched for but sadly no conclusive evidence could be found.  So, with this in mind, we've decide to turn to the experts, cue the Old Pangbournians, and more specifically those at the college between 1960 and 1964.  Can anyone tell us which year this Hockey photograph was taken?

We will accept answers on a postcard but in todays world a comment below will work just as well!

It was fantastic to spend the day with Keith and Eve, every visitor to the archive enriches it with their memories and it's always a pleasure  meeting OP's visiting the archive.  If you would like to spend some time looking through the archive collection please contact myself at sue.carpenter@pangbourne.com to arrange a visit.
