Thank you to everyone who attended the Pangbourne Community Quiz. A fantastic evening that brought together the Pangbournian Comunity in support of two truly worthwhile causes. The event was a great success, raising valuable funds while creating a lively atmosphere filled with friendly competition, good food and plenty of laughter.
A special thank you goes to our brilliant quiz master, Don Gillthorpe, whose enthusiasm, expertly crafted questions and great 80s playlist kept everyone entertained throughout the evening. Adding a clever twist, the entire quiz was subtly themed around Shakespeare -something teams only discovered at the very end, when they were challenged to guess the link between the questions.
Congratulations to our winning team, a staff team who rose to the challenge and claimed a well-earned victory! We would also like to give a special mention to our Sixth Form Nabugabo team, who not only took part and won the mid round games but also ran a lively 'Heads and Tails' quick-fire round during the break to raise additional funds.
All proceeds from the event will support two amazing initiatives. Transforming Futures, Pangbourne’s transformational bursary programme, providing life-changing opportunities for young people who would not otherwise benefit from a Pangbournian education. Your generosity is helping to open doors, transform lives and build a stronger, more diverse community. We are also proud to support Nabugabo Community Primary School, where our Sixth Form students will be contributing their time and energy this summer. Funds raised will help to build another safe house for the community and to add ceilings to classrooms so that children can hear lessons in rainstorms.
Events like this are a wonderful reminder of what is achieved when our Pangbournian Community comes together. Thank you once again for making it such a memorable evening.
