Bob's Colleague, Gerry Pike writes:
Students and colleagues of Bob will recall him fondly. He was a lovely man, mild-mannered, unfailingly polite but formidable musically, both as a choral director of stature, and as an accomplished performer. He co-produced some epic musical events at the College and was irresistible at taking Congers every Saturday morning.
The Memorial Service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at St.Mary's Totnes on Thursday, July 16th at 12:00.
There will be refreshments afterwards before we adjourn to the Sharpham Meadow Burial Ground.
Bobs wife, Jane would love to see you there. Please let her know if you intend to come so she can plan catering numbers. Her contact is: barsbyjane@gmail.com
Jane says "we are sad but celebrating, so wear whatever you feel comfortable in".
An obituary will be added here in due course.
The College sends it's sincere condolences to Bob's family and friends at this difficult time.
