The Gurkha Curry Lunch is held in the very elegant McDonald Galley, which houses the Museum’s unique and extremely valuable picture, silver medal and badge collections, and is an integral part of the Museum’s display area. Although this will not be a solely OP event, the OP Society will have their own tables accomodate the number of OPs who book.

Robin Paine the organiser will send out the Guest List prior to the event.
Meeting Time: 12.15pm in the pay bar, which is on the second floor (lift available). Your badge can be collected from there and seating plans will be available. Guests can arrive at anytime before 12.15pm if they wish to look around the Museum.
Pay Bar: There will be a pay bar, which will be open before, during and after lunch.
Dress Code: Smart Casual; no jacket or tie required
Gratuities are included, but you may feel that a small donation to the Museum is appropriate..
Cancellation: Full refund up to one week before the event, thereafter 100% cancellation charge.
Getting there
Finding the Museum: As you enter the Peninsular Barracks from the Romsey Road, walk past the white building on your left and take a left at the end. The entrance to the Gurkha Museum is in the red brick building on your right. There will be staff members on duty who will point you in the right direction. https://thegurkhamuseum.co.uk/
Parking: There are about thirty parking spaces on the other side of the Gurkha Museum, but they are for residents of the Peninsular Barracks, staff and visitors, so we can't guarantee how many will be available . However, the Tower Car Park (operated by Ringo) using the Tower Street entrance is 0.3 of a mile. As you come back out of the Peninsular Barracks, turn right on to Romsey Road. About 100 yards further on go straight across the roundabout and take the first left into Tower Street. the entrance is at the end of the building. It is about a 5 minute walk back.
Train Station: The station is 0.5 miles from the Museum and is a 9 minute walk.
