OP Nautics Boat Club, OPs from the 1990s |
The Old Pangbournian Society invite expressions of interest from any OPs who remember the 1992 Henley victory and who wish to attend a reunion dinner that is provisionally being planned for Friday 11 November 2022 at the College.
This is not just for former rowers but will be open for any OPs from that era to reunite with their former classmates and divisional friends. However, the focus of the reunion will be to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the College 1st VIII winning the Princess Elizabeth Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta in 1992 and anyone who remembers that victory is welcome to express their interest in attending.
Format will be to meet in the Old College Library off Devitt Hall on Friday 11 November for drinks followed by a light supper being organised by the Old Pangbournian Society. Richard Hamilton who rowed in the victorious 1992 crew is visiting from Australia for this occasion and also hopes to address some of the current students earlier in the daytime before joining other OPs for dinner and drinks in the Old Library from 19.00
The cost for dinner and welcome drinks will be confirmed once numbers of those interested in attending are known hopefully by 21 October when futher event details will be published on this site. Those advising they wish to attend will be contacted to confirm. Please respond indicating your desire to attend this reunion. No commitment or money will be requested at this time.
.Anyone interested should email Tim Hamilton at tim.hamilton@pangbourne.com .
